Lyra Coat

The Lyra is one of our most recognisable occasion coats and a favourite for weddings, particularly for Mothers of the Bride and Groom. Its simple shape also makes it easy to wear beyond the wedding day, from the opera and Cheltenham or Ascot Races to dinners and other special occasions.

The gently flared silhouette layers beautifully over a dress without overwhelming the outfit, while its understated shape allows the fabric and colour to take centre stage.

Raw Silk, Embroidered Silk and Cashmere

Each Lyra coat is available in embroidered silk, raw silk, and cashmere, with each fabric offering a distinct finish. All fabrics are designed in-house, with careful attention to colour and placement so they sit well across the shape of the coat.

Embroidered silk introduces pattern, colour and intricate detail. Raw silk has a naturally textured finish and gentle structure that works beautifully with the Lyra's shape, while cashmere offers a softer option particularly suited to cooler days and autumn or winter occasions.

How the Lyra Coat is Worn

For a classic Shibumi wedding outfit, pair the Lyra with one of our silk shift dresses. Choosing coordinating colours and fabrics creates a beautifully put-together look, while contrasting shades can make the outfit feel more individual.
