Shibumi supports incredible female athletes
Here at Shibumi, we are a female-run company and have a team of fantastic girls who are inspiring, powerful, creative, and really a formidable force who drive the company forward with such passion... we are so lucky to have the team that we do! Because of this, we love to support other people who do amazing things, and as part of that we look to offer support to outstanding individuals.
We have mentioned before that we are official sponsors of Suzanna Hext, triple European gold medallist para-dressage rider and silver medallist swimmer, but now we want to take the opportunity to really shout about just how amazing she is!
Suzi became disabled in 2012 after a riding accident, she talks openly of her struggles during her recovery and beyond, but never ceases to amaze us with her passion and stamina in both of her sports, dressage riding and swimming. She has won multiple medals, and continues to push herself towards success in both disciplines; and is headed for the 2020 Para Olympics in Japan.
As part of our sponsorship of Suzi, we provided her with some lovely Shibumi outfits to wear for her ceremonies, speeches and other events. She loves her bits from us, her favourites being the Anya Jacket in Electric Navy and Cashmere Shawl in Rococo Pink, we think both look great with her gorgeous blonde hair!
Piggy looked so stunning in her Long Nehru Jacket in Narnia, that we decided to get in touch with her in the hopes that she might also like to wear Shibumi for Burghley; Piggy loved her last jacket and was delighted that we wanted to give her another one as a sign of our support. She chose the Long European Jacket in Hot Cerise this time, which garnered lots of attention and Piggy said she felt amazing wearing it… she certainly looked fabulous!
We think you’ll agree that this jacket was a real showstopper! Piggy came to find the girls at our stand at the end of the week to say thank you for the jacket, she really enjoyed wearing it and the girls were rather star struck!
